"The first principle of non-violent action is that of non-cooperation with everything humiliating."
The EFC consists of three 2-day sessions (weekends) spread over three months (timeframe may be adjusted for organizational needs).
Each day is approximately 8 hours; each weekend session is 16 hours; and the entire certification program is 48 hours.
The first session of the series may be taken separately as a "stand-alone"--before deciding on the full certification program.
Session one focuses in introductory frameworks, session two on specific socio-cultural differences, and session three on application and synthesis.
The standard cost of each 2-day session is $200.
As a separate cost: 1 graduate credit is available through Adams State University in Colorado for $55 for Session 1, 3 credits are available for the whole certification program (for $165).
Certification requires that The Power of Difference Survey (PDS) be taken prior to the second workshop and again at the completion of the third workshop.
The cost for the PDS is $150 for each administration and one-on-one consultation--making the total for the whole certification program: $900 (200+200+200+150+150).
The training typically occurs at our site in Charlottesville, Virginia but may be arranged at your site.
Completion of the program does not guarantee certification. This decision must be a consensus of The Sum leadership team and the participant.
Food/Lodging is not included in this cost.
