Board Secretary
Guillermo Medina is a native of Venezuela with two grown sons: Cameron and Alex. He is a school principal at Pioneer Elementary School in Boulder, Colorado. He has been an educator for many years, teaching second grade as well as working in special education with children and adults with disabilities. He served on the Latino Achievement Taskforce for the local school district and, in 2005, Guillermo was given the Excellence in Education Award as the Outstanding Migrant Educator of the year by the district. Guillermo has worked predominantly with students at risk and students for whom English is a second language.
Board Treasurer
A native of the Northeast Colorado plains, Steven Petersen is in his 30th year with the Wells Fargo Company holding positions of Banker, Service Manager, and currently Business Training Consultant. He is a certified facilitator of Wells Fargo's "Working Together to Create an Inclusive Environment" curriculum established to foster a positive and diverse business environment. He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Liberal Arts with a minor in Economics from Colorado State University and spent 8 years in the U.S. Naval Reserves. Steven owns a home in Severance and his interests include hiking, biking, camping and day-trips in the Rocky Mountains; entertaining; reading fiction; and travel.
